The area of food security of PigCHAMP Pro Europa was founded with the objective of responding to the growing need in pig production sector to develop procedures to ensure food security of their products.
Services we offer:
Development and implementation of epidemiological studies (protocols for sampling, sample analysis, statistical analysis of data, etc..) To determine:
- Levels of prevalence and risk factors at pig farms
- Pollution levels and critical control points in feed mills and pig slaughterhouses
Implementation of Salmonella control programs and periodic monitoring at different stages of the pork production chain.
Experimental tests and Project Management R & D:

Advisory Service:
- Implementation of legislation concerning the control of Salmonella and other zoonotic agents in feed mills, farms, abattoirs, cutting and processing companies and meat distribution.
- Analytical methodologies.
- Assess the effectiveness of procedures for cleaning and disinfection of premises, vehicles and tools, etc..
Outreach:
- Organizing workshops, seminars, publication of technical material.
