The last month of February, during the II Foro de ANVEPI (National Association of Veterinarians of Iberian Pig) was presented the project “Consolidation of reproductive data of Iberian Pig”. On this project collaborate the Department of Animal Production of the university of Cordoba, the website 3tres3ibérico.com, the company PigCHAMP Pro Europa and ANVEPI.

The aim of this project is to create a database to obtain the reference parameters and the objective of production both for the free range and the semi-intensive farms. To achieve this all is extremely important the participation both of producers and veterinarians that have reproductive data. The contribution of these data is key to obtain the main aim of the project which must be understood as something that will beneficiate all the Iberian pig sector.
