Last December, Rudolph Buehler, Fritz Wolf and Christoph Zimmer of the German cooperative Besh (Bauerliche Erzeugergemeinshaft Schwäbisch Hall) visited farms and farming systems and processing plants of Iberian pig products in the Sierra de Aracena, integrated in the activities of the European project Q-Porkchains.

The visit was coordinated by PigCHAMP Pro Europe and was supported by Juan Luis Criado for their development. Besh is a union representing around 1100 small farmers, based on a distinct local breed (Schwäbisch Hallisches Landschwein) and systems of breeding and slaughter quality.
