We will participate in the GLOBALGAP SUMMIT 2016, to be held in Amsterdam on 27 and 28 of September.
GLOBALGAP is a worldwide standard that assures and certifies Good Agricultural Practice. To do this, the company sets voluntary standards for agricultural producers around the world, and encourages them to adopt safe and sustainable practices in the production and marketing of food.
Maria Aparicio, our Data Management and Production analysis Manager, will participate in the sessions of the second day. In particular, the so-called “Risks in livestock production – Mitigation Through Certification And Data Collection”, in which speakers will address the major risks of using antibiotics in livestock and how the market is responding. And if farm certification can help to mitigate such a risk.
Maria Aparicio’s presentation will focus on how new data collection through farm management systems can be used as an indicator for risk on farms and as input for more efficient processes in the future of livestock production. María will share session with Prof. dr. Dick Heederik (Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences. Utrecht University, The Netherlands) and Norbert Rank, Quality Lead Poultry and Fish, McDonalds.
